As the road approaches the shores of one of the Tsala Apopka Lakes, State Road 200 branches off to the northeast towards Ocala, Jacksonville, and Fernandina Beach while US 41 continues northwest. From here the road is slightly further away from the Withlacoochee State Trail, but that trail is still close enough to the road.
