8. Posted : 08/17/2019 3:16 pm. I have been drinking 2 cups of spearmint tea a day for 6 months and i can definitely say that my face is a lot less oily. Ican for sure attribute this to spearmint tea since my skincare+ lifestyle has remained the same.But it doesn't magically clear acne. I have to be diligent about my skincare routine too.

There have been plenty of studies done showing that in females, mint tea can reduce androgen levels, and therefore help skin (you can find some posts relating to that on this website). I will be commencing a regimen of 2 cups of spearmint tea a day (actually I already started 2 days ago) and will update this post with results.

2. Nizoral apparently inhibits dht on your scalp, and has anti-fungal properties, it is sometimes used as an aid to hair loss, I am not aware of any topical anti-androgens specifically for acne, and I wouldn't really recommend washing your face with nizoral, minoxidil or topical spiro.
I am a 30 year old female who has been struggling with hormonal acne for the last decade, give or take. I had perfect skin throughout my teens, then in my early 20s everything started changing, for the worse. Any hormone tests I ever had done came back normal. however, the more research I did, the more I truly believed my acne was hormone related.
Yes men can have hormonal acne. For men though are hormones shouldnt fluctuate in a pattern like women. If one of your hormone levels is off its usually constantly off for men. The reason you dont see men treating acne with hormonal treatments is because there are not really any safe for men to use. Ex birth control and sprio.
I have tried everything natural on the market. Variety of supplements, expensive skin care etc. What seemed to help was spearmint tea.. however I then developed GERD and stopped taking it. I have read that spironolactone behaves similar to spearmint tea, and that it can cause heartburn in people.
