Wikipedia has categories of articles; for example, "Phrases". Adding the wikitext [[Category:Phrases]] to an article will add that article to the category "Phrases". (This will not create any visible addition to the body text of the article.) If you instead want to create a visible link to a category, add a colon in front of the word "Category".
The anchors disregard the depth of the section; a link to a subsection or sub-subsection etc. will be [[#subsection name]] and [[#sub-subsection name]] etc. An underscore and number are appended to duplicate section names. E.g. for three sections named "Example", the names (for section linking) will be "Example", "Example_2" and "Example_3".
All formatting is achieved by placing symbols on either side of blocks of text. You can either type the markup manually, or add it through the toolbar at the top of the editing area. Headings and subheadings can be added by clicking Advanced then Heading in the extra toolbar line which now appears.
You can "deep link" to a section of an article (or other Wikipedia page), using a hash character (#), then the section's title, with underscore characters (_) replacing spaces.

Other options, in diminishing order of popularity, are "Notes", "Footnotes" or "Works cited", although these are more often used to distinguish between multiple end-matter sections or subsections.
