If the list of song with the preview controls (play/pause etc) are still appearing on the page, but when you press Play nothing happens, it's probably a technical issue rather than them blocking/removing the feature. Nope, those controls are gone. I suspect it's a planned thing. TimM, Jul 26, 2020. #6.

I vaguely remember the process now. What spooked me was Amazon Digital / Music. Then the verbage. Anyways, decrepit computer user here. Some Amazonian functions no longer work. Amazon Music is one. That didn’t matter. The download button window is still right there as before after completing payment. Another Amazon Hyperventilation Syndrome ...

  4. Amazon Music Mp3 vs CD Sound Quality - Steve Hoffman Music Forums

    forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/amazon-music-mp3-vs-cd-sound-quality.908914

Location: Dallas, TX. I would say the Amazon MP3 (Which are variable 256kps if memory serves) are about 98% as good as a CD. I rarely can tell the difference. I'm sure you'll get passionate arguments saying the CD is irreplaceable. Understandable, considering 2% can be a fairly significant improvement in the audiophile world.

  5. Amazon MP3 vs iTunes AAC | Steve Hoffman Music Forums

    forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/amazon-mp3-vs-itunes-aac.312189

I bought a couple of Pete Townshend songs from Amazon MP3 because iTunes doesn't have the songs. I noticed that the Amazon store's downloads are 256kbps MP3 while iTunes AAC I believe is now 256kbps across the board. I still buy some digital music (I do realize a CD is better), but many albums I'm finding on Amazon are sold for $3 in MP3, which ...

When I sign in with my Amazon account info, it then brings up this box in the center of the page: "Go Unlimited Listen to Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 (2013 Remaster) and over 60 million more songs with Amazon Music Unlimited. $7.99 per month for Prime members (Non-Prime member pricing of $9.99 per month)" with a button to click for a "30-day ...

  7. What happened to AmazonUS Autorip? - Steve Hoffman Music Forums

    forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/what-happened-to-amazonus-autorip.992909

This gave them a competitive advantage over the Major labels who weren't even selling much vinyl in the early '00s. Buying an indie record gave you some value. When the Majors reentered vinyl, they matched the mp3 to remove the indie labels advantage. Shortly after, Amazon added Auto-rip.

  9. Can I use an Amazon Fire tablet to stream to a DAC?

    forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/can-i-use-an-amazon-fire-tablet-to-stream-to-a...

So I created a new account a signed up for a free Tidal trial to test out in the Fire Tablet. The subscription payment was through Amazon and cost $25.99 /month rather the $19.99/month I currently pay with my original account. It seems Amazon is increasing the price of Tidal if you register through the Fire Tablet.

  10. How do you think about Qobuz store? - Steve Hoffman Music Forums

    forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/how-do-you-think-about-qobuz-store.1044250

As a classical music listener, I find Qobuz’s selection is wide and updated well. 1) If I subscribe its Studio Sublime ($21/mon), Qobuz offers discount (usually 50%) on Hi-Res albums. After discount, purchase makes financial sense compared to buy CDs from Amazon with discounted $. 2) As far as I understand (at this point) I can choose quality ...

Location: Atlanta, GA, USA. JAuz said: ↑. I know that this isn't exactly what you're asking for, but you can download the movies that you've purchased on Amazon Video to your phone via Amazon's own Prime Video app. Presumably this is for watching them in situations where you don't want to or can't stream them.
