Pete Palladino and Ron Simasek confirmed the departure of Alexander and Smith and announced that upcoming shows that were already booked will feature special guests along with the remaining members of The Badlees. Beyond that, no recording or performing as The Badlees is planned for "the foreseeable future."
Palladino also came up with the concept and played a part designing the cover and artwork of the album, which features a boy leaning against the doorjamb of a tenement. River Songs is the third full length studio album by American band The Badlees.It was released on their independent label, Rite-Off Records, in February 1995 and sold over 10,000 units before being picked up by the national label Polydor/Atlas after the band signed with that label later in 1995.
