The ducks scatter as Porky Pig enters, aiming at Daffy. However, Daffy outsmarts Porky, showcasing his talents and asserting his identity as more than a mere duck. Despite Porky's attempts to apprehend him, Daffy continuously evades capture, resorting to humorous tactics like pretending to be a fish and labeling Porky as an eagle.
Porky reads the announcement of the expecting duck duo in the newspaper. The eggs hatch as Porky comes to congratulate his old friend. Later, an eagle tries to make off with one of the babies. Daffy, still drunk off of corn juice from both worrying about the birth as well as celebrating the hatchlings, pursues the birdnapper.
Ultimately, Daffy departs, but the scientist settles for a dog's wishbone, prompting Leopold's departure as well. Daffy's attempt at infiltrating another abode is thwarted by a Joe Besser-esque grey duck, resulting in Daffy's inadvertent flight southward, where he discovers Leopold, equipped with a makeshift flying apparatus, accompanying him.
