The Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise (Irish: Ospidéal Réigiúnach Lár Tíre, Port Laoise) is a public hospital located in Portlaoise, County Laois, Ireland. It is managed by Dublin Midlands Hospital Group .
The hospital was officially opened by Seán T. O'Kelly, Minister of Local Government and Public Health, as Westmeath County Hospital on 27 April 1936. [2] [3] It evolved to become the General Hospital, Mullingar and benefited from major extensions which opened in 1988 and 1994. [4]
There are 214 hospitals in Zimbabwe as of 2015. Of that total, which does not include smaller clinics, 120 are government hospitals run by the Ministry of Health and Child Care, 66 are mission hospitals, and the remaining 32 are privately operated.
Most Midlands medical facilities received solid ratings, although there were more declines than improvements since the last scores were released in fall of 2023.

[8] On 15 January 2018, Carillion went into liquidation, partly due to its problems with the hospital contract, and delaying the project still further; [11] [12] 70 Carillion staff lost their jobs. The Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust was created in June 2018 by a merger of Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Partnership NHS Trust and the South Staffordshire and Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. It provides physical and mental health, learning disabilities and adult social care services.
During the reforms implemented after the Cold War, the hospital was re-designated as 202 (Midlands) Field Hospital. As a consequence of Army 2020 , the unit now falls under 2nd Medical Brigade , and is paired with 22 Field Hospital.
