iPhone 8 connectivity issues I lost my iPhone 7 last week. Yesterday, I purchased a new iPhone 8 to replace it. I can not purchase apps or make phone calls on the 8. I can send and receive texts from my son, who is on the same Verizon plan, he has an iPhone 7. My wife who has a Pixel can not receive my texts. Can not make or receive phone calls.
This was not my problem, The problem was that I don't hear a ringing sound when I call somebody. After I dial the number there is no sound until they answer. I did find out that it only happens on certain numbers that were Spectrum land line numbers.

iPhone 12 is making calls itself, NO LOGS IN RECENT CALLS I'm facing an issue where people call me claiming to have missed my calls from my number. The problem lies in my iPhone 12 initiating calls on its own to numbers not saved in my contacts. Strangely, these outgoing calls don't appear in my phone's recent call list.
The call and video buttons are black and can't be tapped. I still successfully called her from the Phone app though. I told my wife this, and she has the opposite issue. If she calls me from the Phone>Recents tab she still gets the busy signal, but if she copies me and taps my contact photo and the Call button she can successfully call me.

Also in Settings/Phone: Make sure Call Forwarding is off. Go to Settings/Sounds & Haptics. Make sure there is a sound assigned to Ringtone. Go to Settings/Screen Time/Communications Limits.
