Toucan Tecs (Welsh: Slici a Slac) is a British animated children's television programme about two private detectives, a pair of anthropomorphic toucans named Zippi and Zac (voiced by Philip Whitchurch and Tony Robinson respectively), who, although based in the jungle, flew around the world solving crimes on their flying devices.
They have been used as the principal characters in Toucan Tecs, a 1992 UK television cartoon about two detectives named Zippi and Zac. In Dora the Explorer , the character Señor Túcan is a Spanish-speaking toucan who occasionally gives Dora and her friends advice.
Range maps are provided wherever possible; if a range map is not available, a description of the toucan’s range is provided. Ranges are based on the IOC World Bird List for that species unless otherwise noted. Population estimates are of the number of mature individuals and are taken from the IUCN Red List.
