Pekka Päivärinta (born 1971) is a Finnish sidecar motorcycle racer, who with passenger Timo Karttiala, was the 2008 Superside FIM World Sidecar Champion. [1] Päivärinta rode a Suzuki GSXR1000 powered LCR as part of Team Suzuki Finland and is the first Finn to win a world sidecar title.
Tim Reeves (born 28 August 1972) is an English sidecar racer from Tenterden, Kent.He is an eight times Superside FIM World Sidecar Champion, twice with his younger brother Tristan (2005, 2006), once with Patrick Farrance (2007) and once with Ashley Hawes (2012) as passenger.
In 1976 the first LCR sidecar was designed. From 1983 to 1989 they produced a series of successful monocoque frames for the 80 cc and 125 cc Grand Prix solo classes. The Zündapp works team and later Krauser were using 80 cc frames and rider Stefan Dörflinger twice won the World Championship .
Larry Coleman is the most successful sidecar roadracer in the United States, winning three American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) national championships ('76, '77, '79), and a land-speed record holder in sidecar divisions. He was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2010. [1]
