Check the status of your form by logging in to your StudentAid.gov account and selecting your FAFSA submission from the “My Activity” section of your account Dashboard. If you submitted a paper FAFSA form, you can check its status after it has been processed (roughly 7–10 days from the date mailed).
Make FAFSA ® corrections, if needed. After your FAFSA form has been processed, you can go back and submit a correction for certain fields. This includes updates as instructed by your school, correcting a typo, and/or adding another school to receive your FAFSA information. You can add up to 20 schools to your online FAFSA form at a time.
The FAFSA Submission Summary consists of four main parts organized into tabs on the page: Eligibility Overview, FAFSA Form Answers, School Information, and Next Steps. It not only gives you information that can help you prepare to pay for school but also allows you to make corrections and find other resources you may need as you plan.
The status of your FAFSA form will be one of the following: Draft: Your section of the FAFSA form is incomplete. In Progress: You provided your consent, approval, and signature to your section of the FAFSA form, but the FAFSA form has not been submitted yet. In Review: Your FAFSA form was submitted but hasn’t been processed yet.
