The Dallas Stars are a professional ice hockey team based in Dallas. The team is a member of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The team started as Minnesota North Stars when the NHL expanded in 1967. The North Stars later relocated from Minnesota to Dallas before the 1993–94 season.
