The Burnaby City Council is the governing body for the City of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. The council consists of the mayor and eight elected city councillors representing the city as a whole. [1] Municipal elections also select seven school trustees.
The institution was established in 1967 by the Burnaby Art Society, who partnered with the City of Burnaby to exhibit its collection in the publicly owned Fairacres Mansion. The association continued to manage the museum until 1998, when the municipal government of Burnaby assumed control of the museum's collection, operations and governance.
Burnaby Heights, often referred to as The Heights, is a residential neighbourhood in North Burnaby. British Columbia, Canada. It is bounded by Boundary Road to the west, Gamma Avenue to the east and Hastings Street to the south. Its northern edge facing the North Shore Mountains comes down rather steeply to the shores of Burrard Inlet.
