Phillips was born on July 3, 1968, in Westwood, New Jersey, as the second of three children, and raised in Hillsdale, New Jersey, where he attended Pascack Valley High School. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] After attending Ramapo College for a year as a criminal justice major, he decided to turn his attention to acting.
