California State University, Fullerton (CSUF or Cal State Fullerton) is a public research university in Fullerton, California.With a total enrollment of more than 41,000, it has the largest student body of the California State University (CSU) system, and its graduate student body of more than 5,000 is one of the largest in the CSU and in all of California. Located in Fullerton, California, Fullerton College offers over 90 associate degree programs and over 140 vocational certificate programs, as well as 25 associate degrees for transfer. [5] In the 2016–17 academic year, Fullerton College, was home to over 34,000 students. [6]
The university was officially established as a multidisciplinary university with the addition of School of PA Studies in 2011 and College of Pharmacy in 2013. Along with Hope International University, the campus bookends the north and south sides of the Cal State Fullerton campus respectively.

To serve the growing population, the California State Legislature authorized Orange County State College in 1957, which began operating out of Fullerton high schools in 1959. In 1963, it moved to its present campus on State College Boulevard, and later, after several name-changes, was finally redesignated California State University, Fullerton.
