The National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, NIT Tiruchirappalli or NIT Trichy is a national research deemed university near the city of Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded as Regional Engineering College Tiruchirappalli in 1964 by the governments of India and Tamil Nadu under the affiliation of the University of Madras.

Festember is a cultural festival organised at National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NITT). [1] It is a 4-day event held annually in the third week of September. It was first incepted in 1975 by then students of NITT, and has now evolved to be one of the largest cultural festivals organised by a student community in Southern India.
