My Remington 1100 has a serno code L250657V on the receiver, how does this fit with the chart and discussion in linked thread? The 1100 is so simple and easy to clean compared to the 391 though. The 1100 has many followers and a large variety of models so doing it again would make good financial sense to me. I doubt we will see a sub gauge 1100 for a long time, if ever, as it is a different frame size. Hope they make the 1100 and V3 again.

First, this Model 1100 has an engraved receiver inlaid with gold but it is not in a hunting scene as described for "1 of 3000" models or "Ducks Unlimited" models. Remington stamps a 2-letter code on their barrels (left side, just forward of the receiver) that indicates the month and year of manufacture of the barrel. Caveats: If the barrel on your 1100 is not the original one that came with the gun, then all you'll find out is when the barrel was made.
Look over on Corsons barrels. They show a 20 gauge LT barrel for $250. 28” Mod. At that price you could have Mike Orlen cut it back to any length you want and tubes added and be around the $300 range. Talk to Corsons. I have dealt with them and they are good to deal with.
Virginian. Receivers and barrels are different. The LW uses an 870 style barrel with a short receiver extension, and the LT uses the 12 gauge 1100 style full length receiver port barrel extension. The LW has a receiver mounted ejector like the 870, and the LT has it on the barrel extension. The LT also has an assymetrical ejection port.
