The Monona County Courthouse, located in Onawa, Iowa, United States, was built in 1892. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981 as a part of the County Courthouses in Iowa Thematic Resource. Other offices are used by the U.S. Marshals, attorneys, probation, and pretrial services. [2] The building is designed in the Neoclassical style. Its design includes cornices and a large colonnade spanning its northern facade.

In 2008, O'Shaughnessy ran for and was elected Clerk of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. She was unopposed in her 2012 election, and received 67% of the vote in both her 2016 and 2020 re-election campaigns.
