Phillipa Anne Soo (/ ˈ f ɪ l ɪ p ə ˈ s uː / FIL-ip-ə SOO; born May 31, 1990) is an American actress and singer.Known for her leading roles on Broadway primarily in musicals, she has received two Grammy Awards along with nominations for a Tony Award and a Primetime Emmy Award.

She was the wife of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton and was a passionate champion and defender of Hamilton's work and efforts in the American Revolution and the founding of the United States.
Eliza is introduced to Hamilton by her sister Angelica during a ball held while the Army is stationed in Morristown for the winter in early 1780. They immediately start a correspondence, and Hamilton wastes no time in asking Eliza's father, Philip Schuyler , for his permission to marry his daughter, which is granted.
Phillipa Soo, who plays Hamilton's wife, Eliza, and is nominated for Best Actress in a Musical at Sunday night's Tony Awards, is leaving the show in July.

"Burn" is the fifteenth song from Act 2 of the musical Hamilton, based on the life of Alexander Hamilton, which premiered on Broadway in 2015. Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote both the music and lyrics to the song. The song is sung by the character Eliza Hamilton, originally performed by Phillipa Soo.
She teamed up with four other Eliza actresses from Hamilton productions on Miranda's Hamildrops in 2018. The track, "First Burn", featured Lawson along with Julia K.
