Bear Creek Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. [3] It is situated on the west side of the Okanagan Lake and is northwest of the city of Kelowna . It was established on April 19, 1981, and was expanded to its current size of 178 hectares (1.78 km 2 ; 440 acres) on May 12, 1988.
Named Bear Creek in 1833 by botanist David Douglas, the stream was officially renamed Lambly Creek in 1922, after Charles Anderson Richardson Lambly (d. 1907), who had been a government agent in several towns in the BC interior. Bear Creek's watershed covers 98.5 km 2 (38.0 sq mi), [5] and its mean annual discharge is an estimated 1.17 m 3 /s (41 cu ft/s). [5] The mouth of the Bear Creek is located about 25 km (16 mi) north of Telegraph Creek, British Columbia, about 115 km (71 mi) east of Juneau, Alaska, and about 222 km (138 mi) southeast of Whitehorse, Yukon.

The first is Red Tusk Creek, which flows into the river just above Clowhom Lake, the second is Taquat Creek, which enters the lake just below its inlet, the third is Dempster Creek, which enters not far down the lake's shore from the mouth of Taquat Creek and the last one is Bear Creek, a river-sized creek that enters the lower reaches of the lake.
