Sainte Anne Church is a Roman Catholic church located in the city of Mackinac Island in the U.S. state of Michigan. The Jesuit missionary Claude Dablon inaugurated the original church on Mackinac Island in 1670, and the earliest surviving parish records date back to 1695. [ 2 ]
In 1987, Reverend Terrence Healy, pastor of St. John Catholic Church near Hartland, was charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct based on accusations from a 15-year-old boy. Healy was convicted and sentenced to four and half years in prison. He was laicized in 1992 by the Vatican.
