Valley County is a county in the U.S. state of Nebraska.As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 4,059. [1] Its county seat is Ord. [2]In the Nebraska license plate system, Valley County is represented by the prefix 47 (it had the 47th-largest number of vehicles registered in the county when the license plate system was established in 1922).
Liberty Township is one of fifteen townships in Valley County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 30 at the 2020 census . A 2021 estimate placed the township's population at 30.
At Haigler, it meets Nebraska Highway 27, which connects with K-27 in Kansas. It continues east to Benkelman, where it intersects and overlaps with Nebraska Highway 61 and briefly turns north. After leaving Benkelman, the overlap ends, and U.S. 34 continues northeast through Max and Stratton before meeting Nebraska Highway 25 in Trenton.
Nebraska Highway 13 begins at U.S. Highway 81 north of Norfolk. It goes west through farmland into Hadar, then turns northwest through Pierce and Foster. At Plainview, NE 13 meets U.S. Highway 20 and the two highways overlap going west from Plainview. After 5 miles (8.0 km), NE 13 turns northward and meets Nebraska Highway 59 at Creighton.
Nebraska Highway 69 begins at US 34 east of Waco and heads in a northbound direction through farmland. It passes through Gresham before continuing northward. It makes a slight turn to the west just north of Gresham before turning northward again. The highway continues into Shelby where it terminates at an intersection with US 81 and NE 92. [1] [3]
