Pointillism (/ ˈ p w æ̃ t ɪ l ɪ z əm /, also US: / ˈ p w ɑː n-ˌ ˈ p ɔɪ n-/) [1] is a technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form an image.
