The ITV television network of the United Kingdom is divided into a number of geographical regions. Since 2002, all regions share the same programming except for regional news, weather, advertising and some local political content. Before then, the regions were independent stations, each with its own schedule and branding.
It is produced and broadcast from ITV Yorkshire's Leeds studios with district reporters and camera crews based at newsrooms in Hull, Lincoln, Sheffield and York. The programme currently transmits into two sub regions. Calendar West serving West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and parts of South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
On 1 September 1989, Yorkshire Television adopted the first ITV generic look, featuring the large ITV logo; an additional ident, with a static chevron on the same background, was also used.
