The Seventeenth Legislative Assembly of West Bengal constituted after the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections which were concluded earlier on 29 April 2021 and the results were announced on 2 May 2021. [1] The tenure of West Bengal Legislative Assembly is scheduled to end on 7 May 2026. [2]

This is a list of candidates in the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election. A total of 2,116 candidates contested 292 seats. The voting in two constituencies had to be postponed to 16 May, after the death of one candidate from each constituency. Voting for said constituencies was postponed again and finally took place on 30 September.
By-election was held for eight assembly constituencies alongside the 2019 Lok Sabha election. BJP won four out of the eight seats, whereas AITC won three seats and INC won on one seat. [6] [7] Later Kaliaganj, Karimpur and Kharagpur Sadar were won by TMC candidates. [8]
