Headline Daily (Chinese: 頭條日報) is a free weekday mass-market newspaper in Hong Kong. It was launched on 12 July 2005, by the Sing Tao group , as the territory's second free Chinese-language newspaper, after Metro Daily .

As of 2001, The Standard was published by Hong Kong iMail Newspapers Limited [5] [6] (previously known as Hong Kong Standard Newspapers Limited) [6] [7] but currently The Standard Newspapers Publishing Limited. Sing Tao Daily is the oldest Chinese language daily newspaper in Hong Kong, having commenced publication on 1 August 1938. [ 3 ] The first overseas edition of the paper was launched in 1963 in San Francisco, where the group’s first overseas office was set up in May 1964.
The Group, which is listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, was founded in 1996, under the name Perfect Treasure Holdings Limited and would go on to acquire and take on the name of the much older Sing Tao newspaper. Perfect Treasure was acquired by Charles Ho [3] and renamed to Global China Technology Group Limited in mid-2000.
