Instructions. Spray the inner pot of your slow cooker with spray olive oil or brush with light olive for easy cleanup. In a medium bowl mix together one cup of water, one can of cream of mushroom soup, 2 packages of dry onion soup mix, and the cloves of garlic, set aside. Layer in the bottom of the slow cooker the slices of onion.
Reduce heat to medium. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in pan and add onion. Cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 6-7 minutes, being sure to scrape up browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Remove from heat, stir in vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and half of the onion soup mix.
