Minersville is a former railroad town in Otoe County, Nebraska, United States. It was located approximately 5 miles (8 km) to the south-southwest of Nebraska City and 2 miles (3 km) east of the Nebraska City Municipal Airport. It was founded in the 1850s and dissolved by the early 1900s.
Its county seat is Nebraska City. [2] The county was formed in 1854 and was named in reference to the Otoe Indian tribe. [3] In the Nebraska license plate system, Otoe County is represented by the prefix 11 (it had the 11th-largest number of vehicles registered in the county when the license plate system was established in 1922).

On November 6, 1925, C. H. Hubner and E. D. Marnell sold the Nebraska City News to Earl M. Marvin, owner of the Beatrice Daily Sun. Ten minutes after signing the deal, Marvin sold the paper again to John Hyde Sweet, owner of the Nebraska City Daily Press.
