Biography. He was born in Bahna, Neamț County, son of Maria Schifirneț, née Movileanu, and of Neculai Schifirneț. In 1968 he graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Iași with a master's degree in philosophy. Traian Herseni (February 18, 1907 – July 17, 1980) was a Romanian social scientist, journalist, and political figure.
