Mayflower in Plymouth Harbor, painting by William Halsall (1882). This is a list of the passengers on board the Mayflower during its trans-Atlantic voyage of September 6 – November 9, 1620, the majority of them becoming the settlers of Plymouth Colony in Massachusetts.
The article is based on the List of deaths and dates as shown in Chronological History of New England by Thomas Prince in 1737, from the register of deaths compiled by William Bradford, which was lost during the Revolutionary War. The list can be seen in the article "Mayflower passenger deaths, 1620-1621".
These shipboard deaths are the first deaths of the Mayflower company and were just a precursor of many more deaths to come. By about mid-December 1620, it was decided that the company would settle at the location which was named Plymouth and eventually all on Mayflower moved ashore where more deaths continued.
