The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.It was co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States from 1 to 29 June 2024; the tournament was hosted by the West Indies for the second time, and it was also the first major ICC tournament to feature matches played in the United States.
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup (formerly the ICC World Twenty20) is a biennial T20I cricket tournament, organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was held in every odd year from 2007 to 2009, and since 2010 it has been held in every even year with the exception of 2018 and 2020.
On 5 January 2024, the ICC announced the tournament's schedule, with the final taking place on 29 June. [10] This was the second T20 World Cup final played at Barbados, after the 2010 final. South Africa played their maiden T20 World Cup final, [11] while India reached their third final, having been champions in 2007 and runners-up in 2014. [12]
