The Bull River is an 8.1-mile-long (13.0 km) tidal river in the U.S. state of Georgia, running through Chatham County east of Savannah. At its north end it connects via St. Augustine Creek and the Wilmington River with the Savannah River. Its south end is at Wassaw Sound, leading to the Atlantic Ocean.
Wilmington Island is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Chatham County, Georgia. The population was 15,129 at the time of the 2020 U.S. census. [1] It is part of the Savannah metropolitan area. The communities of Wilmington Island form a large and affluent suburb of Savannah, where most residents work.
The island has tennis courts, a boat ramp, a yacht club, and a marina. The Eagle Point Golf Club, located on the mainland, has connections to Figure Eight, built by several Island residents. [8] The Figure Eight Yacht Club is a private island club for dining and formal events. Figure Eight is not accessible to the public by car but is by boat. [37]

The Talahi Island CDP is located in eastern Chatham County on the island of the same name, one of several islands lying in the tidal marshes between Savannah and the Atlantic Ocean. It is bordered to the northeast by the Bull River , to the northwest by Turner Creek, and to the south by Wilmington Island .
