Heath Bunting (born 1966) is a British contemporary artist. Based in Bristol, he is a co-founder of the website irational.org, [1] and was one of the early practitioners in the 1990s of Net.art. [2] Bunting's work is based on creating open and democratic systems by modifying communications technologies and social systems. [3]
The term bunting also refers to a collection of flags, and particularly those of a ship; [6] the officer responsible for raising signals using flags is known as bunts, a term still used for a ship's communications officer. [citation needed] Bunting is also the fabric used to make flags. [5] [7]
Bunting had a long-held ambition to create an open-air theatre for Brighton, and had even identified the perfect location, the bowling lawn on Dyke Road Park. In April 2013, when Bunting was diagnosed with incurable pancreatic cancer, he learned that the bowling lawn was being closed by the council, which was looking for a new use for the space.
Even Bjørgum Bunting (née Bolton, December 19, 1928 – October 1, 2023), better known as Even Bunting, was a Northern Irish-born American writer of more than 250 books. Her work covered a broad array of subjects and included fiction and non-fiction books.
Lewin was born in Cheshire in 1963. [2] She studied Fine Art Printmaking at the Central School of Art and Design, London between 1983 and 1986. That was followed by a year's part-time postgraduate printmaking at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, and then garden design at Capel Manor College. [1]
