The Pattern 1800 Infantry Rifle, better known as the Baker rifle, was a flintlock rifle designed by English gunsmith Ezekiel Baker and used by the British Armed Forces from 1801 to 1837.

Wogdon had apprenticed to the Irish gunmaker Edward Norton in Lincolnshire.

Thomas Ketland Senior, was a highly successful Birmingham gun maker. He started his business around 1760 and expanded into the export market around 1790. He died in 1816.
