Drimnagh Castle Secondary School (Irish: Meánscoil Iognáid Rís) is a Christian Brothers secondary school located on the Long Mile Road in the suburb of Drimnagh, Dublin, Ireland. The school buildings are situated directly beside the old Norman castle, Drimnagh Castle , from which the school takes its name.

It forms part of a concentration of religious and educational services with a girls' school, Our Lady of the Assumption, beside the church and a boys' school, Drimnagh Castle CBS, across the Long Mile Road. Drimnagh Castle is the only castle in Ireland which still has a moat encircling it, and is one of Dublin's few remaining medieval castles. It dates from the 12th century and was built by the Barnwell family. Mourne Road Church [3] is at the centre of Drimnagh. Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin is located within Drimnagh. It is the only remaining castle in Ireland with a flooded moat around it; this moat is fed by a tributary of a local river, the Camac. Drimnagh Castle Secondary School is located next to the castle.
The school's site is in Tidworth parish, about three-quarters of a mile (1.2 km) south-west of the town of Ludgershall, on the A3026 road towards Tidworth. The campus houses a community sports and fitness centre with bowling green, a hair salon, a cadet centre with indoor shooting range, twin boarding houses for 100 pupils and Castledown FM's radio studios.
Roche was born in Drimnagh, Dublin on 16 April 1958, one of seven children to Joe Roche and his wife Sheila. He attended both primary and secondary school at Drimnagh Castle CBS. [1] Roche worked for four years as a clerical officer in Dublin County Council, before entering Holy Cross College in 1980 to study for the priesthood.
