Wayne Wesley Rainey (born October 23, 1960) is an American former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. [1] He competed in the FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championships in 1984 and from 1988 to 1993. He won the 500cc World Championship three times and the Daytona 200 once.
The 2023 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship season is the 47th season of the premier class of circuit-based motorcycle racing in the United States and the ninth with current promoter Wayne Rainey and the KRAVE group (dba MotoAmerica).
