About all you can do is add a slip-on rubber sleeve like the Hogue Handall. The P-95 uses the same rear sight dovetail and pin-on front sights as the other P-series pistols so anything that fits them will work. Ruger and Mec-Gar both offer magazines for the P-series and, in fact, I believe Mec-Gar was the factory OEM magazine supplier.
Government purchased P95's also have an average track record with some guns being well-made reliable shooters and others having frame issues after only a short service life. If you have a P95 and love it, you should continue to do so. If you don't and you want one, don't let this stop you.

Tacky said: They make a p95 with a rail already p95pr15 to be exact. Thar would be a better option than fabbing one. Crimson trace also made one for the p89 that was inside the recoil guide rod. It may be possible to use one of those in a 95. However i would not go the cheap laser route.

IIRC I paid about $350 for one over 20 years ago. Now I see them selling for $250 or less. Some sell for more but even with inflation they are one of the least expensive semi autos you can buy.
Ruger P95 About 7 years ago, my dad bought himself his first 9mm- a Ruger P95. We've probably only put a few hundred rounds downrange since, but it has never once jammed, it's accurate and pointable, and it is a solid-feeling gun for being half plastic. If you find one for $345 or less in good condition, snatch it up; you won't regret it.
Competition-- 3 MOA, Home Defense-- 6 MOA. For those of you out there with an older Ruger P95 DC (without rail), the options for mounting a laser are extremely slim. Up to the end of 2018, your best option for a rear sight mount laser was the Laserlyte RL-RP, which is since manufacture discontinued.
P95's are great pistols! Talk your buddy down $30.00 & buy it. A rail will let you attatch a laser or flashlight ect. to your handgun. By the way, the only dumb questions are the ones that you don't ask. Ask anything you want around here, One of the good people on this forum will give you an answer.
