Apache County is a county in the northeast corner of the U.S. state of Arizona. Shaped in a long rectangle running north to south, as of the 2020 census, its population was 66,021. [1] The county seat is St. Johns. [2] Most of the county is occupied by part of the federally recognized Navajo Nation and the Fort Apache Indian Reservation.
The Botanical Walk was completed in October 2010, through the collaboration between the Superstition Area Land Trust (SALT) and Apache Junction Parks and Recreation departments. The idea first came from Don Wells, SALT vice-president, then the walk was realized through the funding for $35,000 from Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust.

The San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation (Western Apache: Tsékʼáádn), in southeastern Arizona, United States, was established in 1872 as a reservation for the Chiricahua Apache tribe as well as surrounding Yavapai and Apache bands removed from their original homelands under a strategy devised by General George Crook of setting the various Apache tribes against one another.
