Boruto and Kawaki are surprised by Code's knowledge of the meds suppressing Momoshiki. Kawaki is resolved to help Boruto win now, for Naruto's sake. Now that Boro can no longer fight, Team 7 prioritizes rescuing Naruto by using Boruto and Kawaki's Karmas to open a portal through the seal and release him. However, Boro regains control of his body and proceeds to crush Team 7 one-by-one before beating Boruto into the ground until his Karma activates, causing Momoshiki to manifest.
Boruto finds Temari and Shikadai, who learned about Gaara's weakened state and Sasuke's disappearance. Temari lectures Boruto for not believing in Shinki's love for his uncle but still goes with Shikadai and Boruto to catch up with Shinki. As this happens, Urashiki breaks free once Gaara's seal is broken.
