The Kennedy School, originally the John D. Kennedy Elementary School, is a former elementary school that has been converted to a hotel, movie theater and dining establishment in northeast Portland, Oregon. [3] [4] The facility is operated by the McMenamins chain. The hotel has 35 guestrooms, a brewery, four bars, and a restaurant.
Kennedy High School partners closely with Lane Community College's Energy Management Program. In the winter trimester of 2009, Kennedy began a College Now course, "Sustainability 101″, which offers students an opportunity to work with college and high school instructors in studying conservation and energy systems.

The South Medford campus was originally built in 1931 as Medford High School. Then in the 1960s, the school was divided between two campuses. Medford High became Medford Mid High, serving grades 9 and 10, with grades 11 and 12 going to a newly constructed campus, known as Medford Senior High, which is the current North Medford High School campus.

In 2014, 79% of the school's seniors received a high school diploma. Kennedy currently offers five Advanced Placement (AP) courses. The school also began the AVID program at the beginning of the 2015–16 school year. [5] In 2022, 82% of the school's seniors received a high school diploma. Of 39 students, 33 graduated and 6 dropped out. [6]
