House of Blues sometimes refered to by locals as the "House of Rules" due to its stringent policies on concert patrons, is an American chain of live music concert halls and restaurants. It was founded by Isaac Tigrett , the co-founder of Hard Rock Cafe , and Dan Aykroyd , co-star of the 1980 film The Blues Brothers . [ 1 ]

It featured live music and was fronted by a rotation of celebrity hosts. The show was produced by Michael Murphy Productions in conjunction with the House of Blues franchise, and was filmed at their Los Angeles location. [1] The program ended its run in 1996. [2] It was sponsored by Pontiac and the Pontiac Sunfire. [3]
It is a recording of the band's performance at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on 31 October 1999 during their world tour supporting their eighteenth studio album The Ladder. [5] By the time of the album's release, guitarist Billy Sherwood and keyboardist Igor Khoroshev were already out of the band, reducing Yes to a four-piece.
Although the album is credited solely to 2Pac, the concert was in fact a joint show with Snoop Dogg and tha Dogg Pound.Throughout the first half of the show, 2Pac, backed by his hip-hop-clique, the Outlawz, performs and features the R&B duo, K-Ci & JoJo, while in the second half, Snoop Dogg goes back and forth with tha Dogg Pound and features West Coast singer, Nate Dogg.
