The METRO Solutions Transit System Plan (aka Metro Solutions Plan) was placed before voters on the November 4, 2003, ballot. One of the six proposed light rail segments as a Phase 2 to expand the Main Street line, then under construction, was the "Westpark" corridor, extending from the existing Wheeler station west to Hillcroft; 6.6 mi (10.6 km) and 4 stations.
