Lee You have what H&R called their auto ejecting third model. Made between 1905 and 1940. The third model uses modern smokeless powder cartridges. Yours can chamber either 32s&w or 32s&w long. No records exist to date the exact date of manufacture, however with the patent dates given this is a 1st variation of the 3rd model made between 1905 ...
The rib of the barrel in inscribed "Sedgley, Philadelphia, PA 1942". It was "obtained" by a physician friend who procured it from the flight line in Da Nang, Vietnam. I did figure out that 1 Lee 7cc dipper is about a third of a max load so 5.8 grn devided by 3 would be 1.9 grains. not sure that 3 dippers is 5.8 but that is what it takes to fill 45 lc case to just below the bullet seating depth. a very light load.

Sizing die is same in both sets but expander and seater are different. This would seem to be a similar relationship to 38/357 with 32 long / 32hrmag. lets see if I can post the info from lee without the formatting going off. Die V / Cal > 32 S&W 32 S&W Long 32 H&R Mag. 3-die set 90696 90624 90809.
The serial number is 1. These revolvers were made in batch numbers for years. 1-9999then start over, this until 1904 when they became sequential. SO their would be severaf numer 1 serial numbers. But it is still cool to have one. This info is per Dick Littlefield, former H&R Historian. Walk softly but carry. Thats good to know this.

It will not chamber the .32 H&R Magnum (cartridge is too long) and although the .32ACP semi-rimmed cartridge will chamber and fire - it is not recommended. The magnum and ACP rounds have much ...
