Outer to outer edge wheel bracket measurement is 17 3/8. Throwing out some ideas and maybe someone with more knowledge here can help me out. Should I get a roller that is 16BF or 17BF? 16BF. 17BF.

The feed back from ********** was that they were almost the same thing just a little less vibration control in the handle of the super splitting axe. Figured I'd ask the question here before I use it.
The 10 blade Mclane would be sweet, but I'm not sure they are made any more and haven't been able to find one used. Fiskars - 1 to 3.25 gear ratio (8/26)with 5 blades, 7.75 inch drive wheels, 1.5 inch FOC. Earthwise/Scotts - 1 to 4.38 gear ratio (13/57) with 7 blades, 10 inch drive wheels, 1.0 inch FOC.
The knife is made by Fiskars with catalog number - 10470 The design belong to colonel Jukka Pekka Peltonen - col. J.P. Peltonen from Finland The knife was made for the Finnish armed forces (but as it happened, a Swedish unit was the first military unit to purchase it). "Sissipuukko" means "Ranger Knife" old version:
It looks like Fiskars is making an attempt at addressing the complaint of "I just like a wood handle" when it comes to their classic fiberglass handled axes. There are only three to start. The "N7" is clearly just an X7 hatchet with the new handle, the "N12" is similar to the X11 splitting axe, but the "N10" doesn't seem to have a fiberglass ...
My old Gerber marked Fiskars fits in the X5 sheath and is held securely as well, where as the X5 wont fit the Gerber sheath. Itll go in half way. The X5 can be forced further in but thatll cut into the protective strip at the bit and we dont want that. The poll on the vintage Gerber/Fiskars is about one third shorter than the poll on the X5.
ArboristSite Guru. So I’ve never used a hookaroon before but have read enough about them to realize I need one. I’ve narrowed it down to these two. I like the longer length and more weight the logrite offers but the Fiskars has excellent reviews too.
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but just did this on mine. Amazing how out of alignment it was, basically just folding the paper over. Now cuts through like butter. Using on chisholm zoysia (palisides version 2.0), which is like cutting granite twice a week. Lowest I can get is 2" (3rd notch on the fiskars) while still being able to push.

I got the idea of the folder from a guy I met on a flea market last week-end: His EDC was an Opinel with a Mora blade! (He also sold me a Spyderco). It came shaving sharp.
Old Fiskars made in Finland, new Fiskars made in China. Nuff said. . Fiskars axes are still made at Billnäs/Pinjainen, Finland. The factory is a few kilometres away from the village of Fiskars/Fiskari where the company was founded in 1649.
