In reply to K0MB's post on October 25, 2023. I saw that you reported that this did not resolve your problem. What I can advise you is to write in the Windows feedback hub to make the suggestion to reinstate this function. In the desktop, press Windows + F keys and the feedback hub will open.
Click Advanced > File types then tick on the option Index Properties and File Contents. A rebuild index dialog box should appear once you press OK. Just exit the window and try to search. If you don’t get results for your search right away, you may have to wait for the folders and files to be indexed. Please see this as a reference as well ...
Please don't suggest re-indexing, have done 6 or 7 times. And, yes indexing settings are set to index contents of PDF files. PDF Indexing is working on Windows 11 (even with the standard PDF indexer), however, you can only search for file contents via File Explorer and not via Search / Taskbar Search. If you right click on one of the Name, Size, Date Modified Column areas of the folder window, you should also have a "Date Created" column available..
