Dazed was real to you because I'm guessing that's when you went through high school. this movie is my generations dazed and confused. Every scene, with the exception of the messed up cops, I could totally relate to something that happened in High School (2001-2004).
Yeah Dazed and Confused and apparently She's All That or whatever that Spike Lee movie is, are both coming out next year, so I would assume we'll see a number of great collabs between criterion and universal in the years to come.

I don't know Linklater's work except Dazed & Confused so I don't know if this is familiar territory for him or not, if the political dimension is really there or if I'm just projecting like crazy. The first movie here, the breezy fun one, was what I expected; naturalistic but highly controlled, beautiful photography, clever, lots of laughs ...
