St. John's High School (SJHS) is a senior high school in Charleston, South Carolina, on Johns Island. It is a part of the Charleston County School District. St. John's is home to approximately 300 students and 30 faculty and staff. Its boundary also includes Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island. [3]

In 1936, SJHS became a four-year high school, and in 1965 it adopted a college preparatory curriculum. [2] In 2019, it was announced that St. Joseph High School would permanently close in June 2020. Saint John High school's football team, coached by David Grandy, made it to the 2008 NBIAA high school football championship game after defeating Riverview Royals 21-8. It was the first time since 1981 for the Hounds.
