Africa-Asia Confidential. Africa-Asia Confidential was first published in November 2007 [1] by the same group that owns Africa Confidential, Asempa Limited of Cambridge.The newsletter was founded in response to the growing political and economic relations between Africa and Asia, and by the need to understand the implications for Africa.

The African Studies Centre (Dutch: Afrika-Studiecentrum) is a scientific institute in the Netherlands that undertakes social-science research on Africa with the aim of promoting a better understanding of historical, current and future social developments in Sub-Saharan Africa. The centre is an interfaculty institute of Leiden University.
The journal features articles, notes and reports, and book reviews, written in English, French, or Italian. As of 2023 issues from the years 1950–2009 and 2019–2021 can be read at JSTOR.
