The OnePlus 3 (also abbreviated as OP3) is a smartphone produced by OnePlus. It was revealed on 14 June 2016. [1] [2] The phone was unveiled in a virtual reality event and OnePlus offered its customers Loop VR headsets to experience the event using their phones, giving away 30,000 free headsets in lieu of a traditional press conference.
The OnePlus 5 was unveiled on 20 June 2017 as the successor to the OnePlus 3, skipping the number 4, because in China, 4 is an unlucky number. OnePlus revealed the phone on 28 July 2015 via virtual reality, using Google's Cardboard visor and its own app. [6] OnePlus sold out 30,000 units of the OnePlus 2 in China within 64 seconds after launching the product sale. [7]
