Woodward Camp or Camp Woodward is a sleep away summer camp in Woodward, Pennsylvania, United States. It was founded in 1970 by Edward Isabelle, who was an All-American gymnast, and head gymnastics coach at Penn State in State College, PA. He partnered with Pat Stillman, an Academic All America football player and entrepreneur, to open the camp.
The fact that no other female was competing on the national circuit kept Krys in the spotlight of a male-dominated sport. She taught at Woodward Camp in Woodward, PA from 1985-1988. She started her tenure there in 1984 as a camper and got to watch the camp expand to accommodate the surge in popularity of BMX and Freestyle riding.
Camp Chase was an American Civil War training and prison camp established in May 1861, on land leased by the U.S. Government. The 84th Ohio Infantry was organized at Camp Chase in Columbus, Ohio May through June 1862 and mustered in on June 7, 1862, for three months service under the command of Colonel William Lawrence. It was ordered to Cumberland, Maryland, June 11, 1862, and served provost duty there until September.
